Newspaper seeks information on Family Court Judges James Bertoli, Drew Takaichi, Susan Bernardini

In preparation for an expose on corruption in California Family Courts, a major market newspaper is seeking background on Sonoma County Judge James Bertoli, and Santa Clara County Judges Drew Takaichi, Susan Bernardini.

If you or someone you know has ever experienced what you/they believe are highly questionable decisions and in-session judicial practices by any of these judges that, in your opinion, are based not in proper jurisprudence and state law but in pro-mother bias, or if you have information from inside Family Court that strongly suggests that these judges have a politically motivated agenda and/or ties to corruption, including graft, we would like to hear from you. We would also like to hear from you if you have similar information on Family Court judges on the bench in any of these counties as well:

    Sacramento
    Contra Costa
    San Mateo
    Marin
    San Francisco
    Alameda
    Los Angeles
    San Diego

All submissions will be kept in strict confidence and not shared with any third parties except for the reporters working on the investigative story. Your phone number is preferred but an email will suffice.

    Please provide:
    1. A brief statement (one sentence) summarizing what you know
    2. Case # if you have one
    3. Names of parties to the case, if you have them
    4. A longer summary which includes the names of parties involved. Please do not provide names of children — ‘son’ and ‘daughter’ are sufficient.
    5. Your contact information (phone number; email; city/state). Pseudonymous and ‘Anonymous’ submissions are acceptable.
    6. Best times to reach you by phone.

If you are a member of law enforcement or affiliated with Family Court, please provide your contact information, badge number, division or department number and one of the journalists will follow up with you.

Please send the above to: JudgementDayResearch@aol.com. Your Subject line should state: “Requested info: James Bertoli, Takaichi, Bernardini, et al.”
