Access by Design Workshop
This workshop will be a hands-on training in how self help centers and legal aid services can be made more user-friendly, engaging & client-centered. Using a design approach, we will work together to go from ideas of how services may be improved to robust prototypes of how new services and tools may be rolled-out. The focus will be to train participants in collaborative and creative methods and, while doing so, to develop strong ideas for new apps, websites, forms, services, and technologies that could improve the efficiency & quality of self help and legal aid services.
Expungement and Reentry
The demand for reentry legal services is at an all-time high and self help centers are seeing increasing requests for help with expungement and other reentry services including assistance with child support which has accumulated during incarceration, child custody and other issues. This all-day workshop will share new models and partnerships for providing services, will provide nuts and bolts training on legal issues and will review new reentry laws and their impact on self-represented litigants.
Senior Legal Services Provider Meeting
The Senior Legal Services Provider meeting is open to advocates working at Title III-B or IOLTA legal services organizations. If you do not work at one of these organizations, but provide legal services to seniors, please contact Denise Watt at email@example.com for additional information.
